This summer went so fast, that we didn't even have time to take care of one of our family traditions. Every year we write on the wall with chalk and take our family picture in front of it (like this one from last year).

This year Carli wanted to do something new. She wanted to take the cat with us. It's only out in the front yard, and we sometimes will take him to get some air. I figured what the hell. He's gonna die soon anyway, might as well let him get some fresh air while he can.
But before I forget, you should see this child trying to take pictures of her daddy (keep your teeth showing until the flash goes off). She is a little photographer in the making, I'm just sure of it.
So, today we took care of chalk wall. And...then I played a little with the photo editor. It's kinda fun and since you all are my loyal readers...you have to just deal with it.

She absolutely loves these crazy color kind.

Another crazy color one!

Not to worry, he just mosied in and he is just fiiiine! Ain't he pretty?
Another crazy color one! After we were done, Carli wanted to take him in the back yard. So she packed him to the backyard and his little 12 lb body is heavy, even for a big 2nd grader. Unfortunately, she let him down right by the end of the deck. Which of course meant...he had to go under it. And there he sits, right this minute, half an hour later. You see he would come out on his own...if she would quit trying to get him out of there. But every time she goes out...he goes further in, it's his only form of self defense in this case. When he comes out, he can rabbit kick her with his back claws, but even that grumpy old man, would just rather hide.
