We love summer!

This weekend started with my mom's arrival from Phoenix. Carli had a sleep over on Thursday night with her. Perfect opportunity for Cobby and I to go out and have fun...except that very day he was laid off. So we went home...we are wild like that.

On Saturday, we got up and went to the parade for Taylorsville Dayzz (I'll edit and post the video later). Carli had a great time racing for the candy...which I'll have to throw away when she isn't looking. Because although she doesn't have a crazy sweet tooth, she does get attached to her stuff. Then Carli's friend had a birthday party, we had time for pizza, cake and ice cream and one ride on the roller coaster...then off we go. She had to be at the park in just a little while so she could do her last performance of the summer. She did fabulously...of course...and she is cute as hell! Then we bought just a few tickets so she could ride a ride (or whatever), she chose one of those little fun house type set ups...we were joined at the park by a couple of friends (which is always funner).

Then we went home and started getting ready for the cookout. Cousins, friends, drinking, eating...you can't beat that! On Sunday we mostly were lazy. I decided to let everyone sleep...until they were done sleeping. Carli woke up at 1100 (I know...crazy) and Cobby until noon when the phone rang (who calls at that ungodly hour anyway?). We were looking out the window thought we saw blossoms on our cacti, that has never happened before so we had to go out and investigate...which turned into running through the sprinklers. YAY SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!! Carli was doing cartwheels...but her preparation included acting like Sharpei (HSM) and wiggling her fingers while she moved her hands up and down making funny noises. She's so funny.

Anyhow, that has been our weekend. Enjoy the pics.
